About us
The Trust has eight operating theatres providing planned and emergency surgical facilities for trauma and orthopaedics, general surgery (including breast and colorectal surgery), urology and gynaecology as well as a wide range of day procedures.
Plans are in place to refurbish the entire theatre facility and increase the levels and scope of surgical activity. The anticipated in the level of activity has led to the appointment of two new consultants with special interests in upper limb and ankle orthopaedics and three new consultants in the anaesthetics team including one who specialises in pre-operative assessments.
The Trust is committed to developing elective care pathways to increase capacity and offer more choice to patients.
