Patient Instructions & Symptom Diary
This monitor records the heartbeat continuously.
Press the “Patient Event” button and list symptoms that you are aware of on the patient diary, e.g. palpitations, dizziness, chest pain.
Also list on the diary any significant activities which may affect your heart rate, e.g. exercise. However, avoid activities that cause excessive sweating as this may cause the monitor to fall off.
The monitor is water resistant and can be worn while showering. Try to reduce the amount of water touching the device and gently pat dry with a towel after showering. Do not have a bath or go swimming with the monitor on.
This equipment is very expensive. We do not have the resources to replace damaged equipment. The monitor must be returned at the agreed time, as it will be booked for another patient to use.
