Dr Hossain is a Consultant gastroenterologist and physician at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust.
He joined the Trust in March 2016.
Dr Hossain has a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease and is IBD lead for the Trust. He is also a clinical cancer lead.
Dr Hossain qualified in 1990, and got MRCP(UK), MRCP (Gastroenterology), FRCP (Edin), FRCP (London). He underwent higher specialty training in Gastroenterology and Medicine in East Midland South Deanery and trained as an IBD fellow at St. Marks Hospital London.
The Department of Gastroenterology at George Eliot Hospital is led by 7 consultant gastroenterologists. Together they provide a comprehensive gastroenterology service including expertise in the diagnosis and management of inflammatory bowel disease.
