NHS organisations in Coventry and Warwickshire are inviting people who are curious about nursing to ‘sneak a peek’ into the career and where it could take them. The Sneak a Peek into Nursing online workshop will take place on Tuesday 29 October between 10am – 12pm.
Anyone interested or curious about a career in nursing is welcome to attend. This includes secondary school children and their parents, carers or guardians, college and university students, people looking for a career change, or people who are already working in healthcare. Local schools and businesses that support people to explore their career options are also welcome.
The event will feature nurse speakers from across the four local NHS organisations; Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT), George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust (GEH), South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) and University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW). This means attendees will get an insight into a range of exciting specialisms across adult, mental health, learning disability, and children’s nursing.
As well as hearing inspiring career stories first-hand, the Trust’s careers teams will be on hand to offer guidance and advice on different routes into nursing, including through apprenticeships.

This event isn’t just for young people, it is for anyone curious about nursing. Nursing is an incredibly rewarding career with brilliant progression and development opportunities, but we also know deciding to pursue a career is a big decision and people might not always know when and how to start. This interactive workshop aims to lift the lid on what it’s like to be a nurse in Coventry and Warwickshire, featuring career stories from our nurses that we hope will leave you feeling inspired and ready to take your next step.”
