Toubkal Summit.jpegTake part in the adventure of a lifetime.

Set in the High Atlas Mountain range in Morocco, Mount Toubkal is the highest peak in North Africa and the Arab world. During the trek, you will be able to catch the sunrise at the summit with views over the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert.

Mount Toubkal stands 13,671ft (4,167m) above sea level and commands superb views of the High Atlas Mountains. The trek passes through impressive landscapes on well-defined paths and dramatic views towards Marrakech and the Anti-Atlas Mountains. As you pass through remote villages, terraced fields, and waterfalls, you will gain an insight into the life of the friendly Amazigh people.

The Mount Toubkal Trek 2025 will take place from Thursday, 17th April till Monday, 21st April. Register your interest and secure your place by emailing: GEHCharity@geh.nhs.uk.

  • Each participant must raise a minimum sponsorship of £1,500 (This amount includes return flights to Morrocco, transfers, accommodation, meals, and local expert guides throughout the trek).
  • A minimum of £750.00 must be raised by 31stJanuary 2025, in order to secure your place. • The George Eliot Hospital Charity will provide support, advice, and guidance to each participant to help you raise your minimum sponsorship. This includes helping you set up a JustGiving Fundraising Page, providing you a Sponsorship Form, making the George Eliot Hospital site available for you to conduct raffles, tombolas and other fundraising initiatives, together with giving you an A-Z fundraising guide full of ideas and tips to help you raise your minimum sponsorship of £1,500. The George Eliot Hospital Charity will also provide you with details of what kit you will require, training, and healthy eating tips on how to acclimatise before the trek.

We wish to make sure this trek is one of the best experiences of your life - and rest assured we will support you all the way.

The funds raised from the Mount Toubkal Trek will be used by the George Eliot Hospital Charity to support George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust to provide excellent care to our patients and their families, provide funding for life-changing and life-saving equipment, and develop staff wellbeing.
